How about a winter holiday directly on the lake? In our Chalet AM SEE you will find the ideal conditions for your holiday ideas all year round. A fully-equipped Tiny House made of solid wood, which has a private sauna with panoramic view and direct lake access. Perfect for cooling down after the sauna.

A paradise for Nordic winter sports enthusiasts

At the foot of the Dobratsch is the Alpen Arena, the Nordic skiing centre of Villach with a 5 km long cross-country skiing trail, which can be covered with snow and illuminated. There are further cross-country trails directly from the hotel village SCHÖNLEITN, in Finkenstein as well as St. Jakob, Rosental. Particularly popular with cross-country skiers is the area around Planica & Kranjska Gora in Slovenia, a large Nordic skiing centre not far from the border and ideal for a day trip.

Tobogganing and touring in the border triangle

Just outside the hotel village there are several possibilities for tobogganing, e.g. in the Dobratsch Nature Park , Trabinerhof Fürnitz, Hundsmarhof, Baumgartnerhöhe, Dreiländereck and many more. Our team will be happy to explain how to reach the respective toboggan runs. Every Thursday, the ski slopes at the Dreiländereck also belong to the ski tourers! The valley slope is open for touring from 17:00 and can be used free of charge.

Ice skating on Lake Aichwald and in Villach

When temperatures permit, Lake Aichwald in Oberaichwald is one of the first natural ice surfaces in Carinthia to be opened for ice skating. Simply walk about 20 minutes from the hotel village to the lake, ice skates are available for hire on site. Ice skating on Villach's town hall square, which is illuminated at night, is also a special experience. And of course there are plenty of rinks for speed skaters and ice hockey players.
