Culinary highlights on your family vacation in Carinthia
A heart for regionality in our restaurant on Lake Faak.
We mainly buy products from local, selected producers. In the Genussland Kärnten you will find special "Schmankalan" such as Kärntner Laxn, Gailtaler cheese and Carnica honey from the Rosental. To name just a few.
The meadow egg from the Gfrerer family is fresh on our table and once a week we visit the farmer Franz Lauritsch. He is known for his fruit juices and the "Seelenpritschler" schnapps.
Our culinary philosophy in the Carinthian holiday village
In the hotel village on Lake Faak we bake our own house bread and harvest the produce from the hotel village - fruit, nuts, herbs and a few vegetables. The harvest is often only enough for fresh apple strudel. But it tastes all the better.
Sometimes we have to look beyond the borders in the restaurant, for example when it comes to sea fish. Here our philosophy is not to look further than about 300 km.
