The hotel village SCHÖNLEITN is located in the middle of the Villach ski mountains near Gerlitzen Alpe. The ski area can be easily reached in just 20 to 30 minutes, the ski bus runs several times a day at fixed times and is free of charge for our guests. However, the hotel itself is not located directly on the piste - and that is precisely what makes it so charming. Here you can also enjoy your winter holiday away from the hustle and bustle, e.g. with an offer from our weekly programme or a relaxing day in the hotel's own spa.

Ski holidaymakers are well looked after with us, e.g. with multi-day ski ticket sales at reception. The ski school Aichholzer is located directly in the vollage of SCHÖNLEITN and offers childrens ski lessons, and private lessons as well as a ski rental. All guests receive the free Villach Winter Adventure Card on arrival.
Skiing on the Gerlitzen Alpe
The Gerlitzen Alpe has many kilometres of pistes, perfectly groomed slopes and cosy huts that invite you to stop for a bite to eat. The ski area offers storage facilities for skis or hire, so you can easily commute between the hotel and the piste. Skiing in the Tarvis ski area / Italy - Kids up to 18 years only pay €13 per day
The Tarvis ski area, in the border triangle between Italy and Austria, offers slopes for all levels of difficulty and modern lifts. It is ideal for skiers and snowboarders who get their money's worth all year round. The free ski bus ensures easy transport between the ski areas and the town, so that visitors can easily explore the region. Tarvis is the perfect place for a relaxed and uncomplicated ski holiday.
