Enjoy culinary delights of the border triangle
The village of SCHÖNLEITN is located directly in the border triangle of Austria - Italy - Slovenia, in the middle of the Alps-Adriatic region. A very special region with diverse nature and landscape – and impressive cuisine. You can taste exactly this variety in our Dorfwirt SCHÖNLEITN. Regionality and freshness play a big role. We source products from the region and pay attention to the sustainable use of food and raw materials.
Regional specialties from Italy & Slovenia
The Slovenian coastal region of Primorska, near the border with Austria, is home to the world-famous Karst ham. A little further, near the town of Cividale in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, are the vineyards of Perusini wines. These delicacies come straight to the table in the village of SCHÖNLEITN, served in the charming Carinthian style. Tip: We often visit these culinary places with their cultural highlights together with our guests - including the weekly
"Kirchtag" celebrations in the village of SCHÖNLEITN
Church days are part of the customs and culture in Carinthia - and we would like to share them with our guests. Therefore, as part of our guest program, the village church day takes place every year, which is particularly popular with our regular guests and where you can celebrate together and enjoy culinary highlights from the region - from the “Laden” in the morning to the Carinthian snack in the afternoon to the gingerbread heart in the evening.
